Maiden Voyage

This weekend was a joyous occasion, for the first time after buying the trailer we finally took her on her first voyage. Living in it in one location has shown me the perks of having a set up for our new "rig". Learning all the small things that one has to do to have our Creekside road-ready was an interesting journey. Not only have I not done this before, but I have also wanted nothing more than to travel in my home on wheels. A reliable mode of transportation that carries all our belongings with us.

Instead of a tent and supplies with a pseudo home base or one that is very much stationary where the rest of your possessions resides. We were able to spend the money, effort and time turning this dream we talked about into reality by sourcing out the ideal camper without breaking the bank.

My love sussed out all the necessary essentials for all the hookups, soon we were moving into our tiny home...now we are literal (2 months now). I realize that we won't be setting up and tearing down as often as I have daydreamed of but the ability is dormant until required.

The beauty of this trip is I got to experience first hand not having any hookups, one could say pampered. Not having the amenities available and most of all weathering the outdoors in a moving home, understanding the dangers and risks of everything we owned being tested the mountainous roads ahead.

I won't quit daydreaming but I have a wider perspective on the possibilities ahead, it will be challenging. Seriously though, I feel like I was born ready for this. With all the adjustments we want to make it will be glourious when we have it right and it suits us perfectly, inside and out.
