~On behalf of the lovely Samson who is traveling Thailand currently and who knows where else his adventures may take him.....while I am mastering academia in our hometown he has written up a little blog for the peeps back in E-town~
*drum roll*
I love traveling and, being a digital nomad is pretty amazing.
(Let's not kid each other!)
Beaches, strange cities and dollar Pad Thai, what's not to love?
There are things you miss out on though. Here's a quick list.
1. Having a car. After a while, figuring out taxis, local buses and jeep things really suck. The freedom of getting in the car and just driving to where you want to go is great.
2.Friends. I miss my friends and family in Edmonton. My friend had a big 50th and I was in Thailand. Sorry buddy.
3.Comfort food. I love getting random street food, but I miss things like Little Caesars Pizza, and Alberta beef. I have yet to find one Asian pizza place that does pizza right, the sauce is always too sweet, and no I do not want crab on it.
4.Sleeping in my own bed. Perfect amount of firmness, perfect pillows ..... Vs what are these little bug things, and why is this mattress frame a used pallet.
5. And a home to put it in. Not having a home is hard, I have two bags. That's it. All my worldly possessions fit in two bags.
Those are 5 things I miss about home, but travelling is where I am and where I'm staying! Read more travel tips from me here :
