We decided to do the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) adventure out at Motion Notion. I personally haven't been out to
Motion Notion since 2006 so it was really nice to do a smaller scale of a 'rave' music festival. The sheer size of Shambhala sometimes can be a bit overwhelming. Especially the line up.
After staying up all night after hitting up Corey's birthday party we watched
Karas (my favourite movie, with my favourite boy) we started to pack the car. By about 9-10am we were ready to find some breakfast. Finally hitting up a Tim Hortons we met up with Celeste, Tyler and Charles to collaborate a mini convoy. When I awoke from my short in car nap we had lost them, so it was time for good ol' GPS to lead the way. After making onto the highway we did a driver swap, Justyna isn't a huge fan of driving plus she just looked more uncomfortable in front of the wheel. I did my job to relieve her from her duties, lets accelerate!
I don't know how long we were driving but by around 2pm we had arrived at the line up. We had glass bottles of alcohol so that needed to be transferred to another container. In addition to our entrance fee we had to pay $10 per person for the environmental impact...this was new. (also a $20 for re-entry fee) $600 later all four of us were in and looking for our fellow friends to start setting up camp.

Empty 'The Woods' stage (this was during the day on Saturday. |

Beach stage even though the DJ was playing in a jail cell in front of an alligator. |
It was time to hit up the stages and check out the venue, we finally decided we needed some well deserved sleep. Off to the beach (next to the Pembina) with our sleeping bag in had for a nice afternoon siesta. From there we headed back to camp for some smokies, yum camping food. I indulged in a freezes, to be honest with you I don't remember the last time I ate one.

The only picture of Infected Mushroom. |
Now we were ready to gear up and see the
Infected Mushroom live show followed by their DJ set. Before they came on we watched a variety of very talented and unique fire spinners, poi, staff, short poi, double staff and hoops galore.
